Break out view of section view

Is it possible to do a break out view of a section view? I'm trying to do this in IV 2009 and after the command completes, my view is left the same.

check to make sure where your sketch is, it maynot be in the view you wanted it in. It is best to highlight the view you want in the tree then pick sketch to make sure.

I've had the same problem every once in a while, sometimes it's that i didn't get the sketch in the correct view. A couple of times the view didn't show up but when i turned on the view and scale nomenclature that showed up and then i could find the empty view box. It could be i can't remember that i got an error message about no edge found.
