Bracket Flanges

I have posted files in CF. I have two almost identical Sheetmetal brackets
that have flanges that should be identical, i.e. the height. As far as I
can tell I have selected identical edges, sheetmetal styles etc... but one
is slightly taller than the other. I can not see what is "wrong" with them.
Do you see anything?

TIA,

Keith

I don't see the post in Customer files either. Sometimes OE misses posts for some reason.
I tried looking for it on the Web side, but all the search turned up was this thread,
nothing in customer files

Keith

Are you talking about Flange 1 in each file? One is adaptive and has a different dim than
the other?? The face sketches don't have dims and the other flange appears to be the same
lengths

I noticed that too. On one part, the edge selected for the flange is the
inside edge. On the other part, the outside edge is selected.
Keith, are you wondering why it's off by .001?

Ok, sorry about the ambiguity of the information provided. I will try to
get us looking and thinking the same. I think that I inadvertantly posted
the wrong brackets. I have reposted REVa.zip in Keith Bracket. This
assembly should have all neccessary constraints placed so that you may see
the problem. Yes I did make one of the flanges Adaptive but only to try and
solve this issue. I thought that if I made Flange 1 of one of the
componets, adaptive that I could constrain it to equal the height of the
other flange. I removed the Adaptivity of the flanges in this latest post.
I have ensured that the lasted posted files have flange 1 height set at
.405.
Thank you for your patience.

Look at Part3 new_reva.ipt, open up the Parameters dialog. The dimension has
.405, but also has a tolerance dim of .4045 for Nominal & Model. I haven't
tried tolerance modeling yet, so I'm not sure how to change that. I think
that's where the .001 is coming from.

Flange1 on Part3 new_revA has some problems. On one end of the part, there
is a wire showing where the bend starts. On the other end, the flange is
short. I logged a defect against it.

Thanks Mike. I repaired it though I am not sure exactly what I did that
solved the problem. In Part 3 per your keen eye, I opened the Parameter and
clicked in the Quation edit box of d2 (0.405) an arrow pops up and I clecked
it and went to Tolerence. Once there I changed the precision to 0. and the
Evaluate Size to Nominal. I saved and updated everything with NO change. I
then opened Part 3 again and Edited Feature on Flange 1 and typed in AGAIN
.405. Updated/Saved again returned to the Assembly and IT WAS CORRECTED.

Thank you for spotting this. I do not think that I would have ever seen it
and I am not sure how I fixed it but it is fixed now.
Is this TRULY OPERATOR error or Software? I can handle either answer being
correct. If it's me....I'll learn. If it's IV it'll be fixed. I would
just like to know which.
