Bleed through and cartoony outlines Continued

Sp1 did....
...not fix bleedthrough for migrated 5.3 drawings.
...not fix bleedthrough for new drawings based on migrated 5.3
parts/assemblies
...not fix "cartoony" outlines in shaded views (new r6 og migrated 5.3)
...fix bleedthrough for new r6 based drawings

Please Autodesk fix this, did see a thread about updating views by rmb or
changing between hidden/shaded, but that does not help much.
Don`t forget that usually the goal is to produce drawings, not models. I
have so many migrated 5.3 idws that has shaded views that looked nice in 5.3
that I now can`t use.

I.e. I`ve sent 100 idws to client with shaded views that don`t have cartoony
style outlines, when I now have to send him revisions etc. it don`t match
the rest...this was the most important thing I hoped Sp1 would fix, I can
live with having to restart Inventor etc. but please don`t screw up my
allready sent drawings! Please fix this!

Regards,
Jørgen

Jørgen -

I don't think Autodesk realizes the significance of this bug! (They haven't
responded much in these NG threads). I was told that this was being fixed
with SP1. Not so. The drawings are what the client sees, and a
professional appearance with shaded views is no longer possible. As you
said, previous drawings (idw's) can no longer be matched for quality. I've
complained until I'm blue in the face. If it's not resolved in SP2 I'm
going to strongly recommend a switch to SW to my supervisors.

Thank you, good to hear more people seeing this as a major bug ! It`s kinda
hard to explain why we no longer can give away shaded views because we have
upgraded to a newer version and sp1 did not fix it. This is sad. (The most
(EDITED) about this is that we just bought a expensive A3 sized color led
printer Okic9300 that printed really nice Inventor drawings with shaded
views, and part of the reason why we did this was Inventors shaded printing
capabillities.)

For some reason I hadn't had any major problems with R6 about from this
annoying "bug" / feature. I only applied SP1 to sort this out. It is not
actually listed in the readme file but I thought it was such an obvious one
that it would have been fixed anyway - there was a lot of discussion about
this on the Beta site - with Beta1 as well as with Beta2.
Hope it gets sorted fairly quickly hopefully with SP1.5

Cheers,

It is important to me also. Here's hoping SP2 will be able to fix it.

It looks like changed the way visible edges in shaded views are handled
during printing. In R5.3, shaded views did not display the correct width of
Visible Edges in print preview. In R6, the print preview shows the correct
width.

Try this- go to Format>Standards and change the width of visible edges to
the smallest value. In print preview, the shaded view will appear the same
as in R5.3. If you have R5.3 loaded, you can try changing the value of
Visible Edges, and you will see that it doesn't change the print preview.

I reported this to development so they can take the appropriate action.
