Bending a stainless steel rod

How can I bend a rod with a 90 degree angle? Seems simple enough but have not been successful.
Thanks.

Have you tried using a loft? Sketch you cross-section on the x-y plane.
Start a new sketch on the x-z or the y-z plane and sketch the path.
Use the loft tool to select the cross-section and then the path.

Wouldn't a sweep be a better tool than a loft?

It would depend on the material. Most cases there would be a kink where it
gets bent.
I would use a loft too.

I'm not sure if it is a better tool, but that's the one I was thinking
of. I think I was getting a bit brain dead. Time for a three day
week-end. On second thought, I think I'll start about noon.
