Bad Sketch

See file in CF. If I try to change the dim d9 I get an error, if I delete
the dim, I can drag the line ok. Auto Dim tells me one dim is required but
it won't dim it. If I try to change the dim, then check the Auto Dim, the
number is so big it wont fit in the window! It's always bothered me what a
toy the sketcher is in Inventor. How can this "new technology" be so crude?
Anyway enough whining, can someone give me a work-around other than "Make
simple sketches & create one part at a time"?
Thanx,

It looks like your sketch is going to blow up on you. Sometimes you can
delete an offending line and the sketch will be alright when you replace it.
Try deleting lines and replacing them.

Thanks Kathy, I was able to get it to work by making the dim driven,
creating & dimming a sketch point, then dragging the end of the line to
constrain it to the sketch point. When I got it where I wanted it I deleted
the sketch point & changed the original dim back to normal. Does anyone else
see a need for improvement in the amount of geometry the sketcher can
handle?
