Autodesk Inventor 2014 poor performance

One of the draftsmen is complaining about poor performance in inventor, freezing, crashes, graffics glitches etc, I've tried reinstalling inventor, checked drivers etc and the computer is still acting like it can barely run inventor no issues doing other things, inventor seems to be the only progam affected (we don't sue the otehr parts of autodesk so I can't say if they would eb affected or not. The system is significantly above the minimums, i7, 8GB ram, radeon 7470 graphics card, and none of the drawings are anything complicated. I've looked at all the normal stuff and none of it has been reported to have any effect.

I assume you installed IV under a user with Admin rights and the UAC slider was set to it's lowest setting.

Try a different "User Account" on this machine. Corrupt user accounts have been know to cause problems. Also make sure the user and at least a Power User level, preferable local Admin privileges.

It was originally installed using one of my domain admin accounts following the same procedure used for the 3 other computers with product design suit installed none of which are having any issues. I'd installed SP1 last week and the user was still repoerting problems. I'll try the user account stuff you recommended blair

never a bad idea to run a memory test (memtest,etc..)

I was having some issues and found a bad stick of RAM (only a year old stick).. Replaced it and all was good again.
