AutoCad inventor 2008 How can I insert and decal an image?

It doesn't decal around the object. I'm trying to make it look like a basketball hoop.

To use the decal your would need an image of a net that has been "unrolled" and laid flat.  The image you have is only showing one face of the net. 

Why not simply apply an expanded metal texture to the surface of the net area (see image attached).
