If you have say an axis and you look right into the end of it, do you want
to see it as a dot, or do you want it hidden.

"In-Line Work Features" are work features created in the process of creating
a different Work Feature.
Example:
You have a part that contains two holes and you want to create a Work Plane
that passes through the center axis of these two holes. Instead of creating
the two center axes and then creating the Work Plane, all you need to do is:
1. Select the Work Plane Tool
2. Immediately, right click and select "Create Axis"
3. Pick the first hole.
4. Right click again, select "Create Axis" again and then select the second
hole.

A new Work Plane will be created that passes through the two "In-Line" work
axes, but the axes "visibility" will be turned ON/OFF based on the setting
of "Hide In-Line Work Features".
You will also notice in the Browser, that the two axes are "Consumed" by the
new Work Plane.

Hope this explains it.
