Auto Desk Sketch locking points

I am trying to sketch on a plane, and my curser is a doubled plus sign, and I can not lock on any points to create a line, please help.

Hi! I guess the point you try to lock on is on a different sketch. Inventor does automatically project sketch entities in other sketches. It would make the sketch workflow really messy and hard to use. In order to lock on a sketch point from another sketch, you simply need to use Project Geometry command to project the point.
