Assembly color changed suddenly to one color

I am working on an assembly file with some different color components, the color of each component is set to AS MATERAIL. But suddently the assembly color was changed to one color only, which is the same color as one of the component. I clicked each part, the color is still set to AS MATERIAL.  I even can not undo it to change the color back.

And from now on, any part was placed to this assembly is changed to assembly one color.

Inventor 2012 under Win 7 system.

Need help to solve this problem, thank you in advance.

What JDM means is in the Model-browser under Representations, there can be different Views. You can create multiple views where you change colors from parts. By changing between the views you can have different options to show your assembly. When you RMK on the active view, there is the option remove color overrides, when you do this all your manual applyied colors are removed. Probably you clicked this option.

Hi,

If the issue still remains, would it be possible to upload the dataset?

Thanks,

Jan

I just experienced the same problem this morning.  All individual parts have different colors based on material (in the .ipt file), and when placed into an assy, they all turn white.  View represnetation is set to default, assy was created with the same template as every other time.

I have included a very simple two part assy to demonstrate.

Also I can no longer double click to edit a part in place, in the assy.  I have to RC and select open.

Did you rename the files you attached here?

No, the parts were not renamed.  They are iParts, so you are seeing the member name in the browser.
