Assembling and Modeling strain wave gear?

I am trying to design and model a strain wave gear system. This system contains a flexible "cup spline", which has a slightly elliptical ball bearing pressed into it, and an outer spline. This bearing is the "wave generator". As the elliptical bearing rotates, it deforms the cup spline, which has 2 less teeth than the outer spline. The deformation causes the cup to advance 2 teeth on the outer spline for every rotation of the wave generator.

The cup spline is always deformed slightly by the bearing. I am wondering how to properly model the deformation of the cup and bearing when assembling the parts. Is there an example or sample of a part like this that I could use as reference? Thanks!
