Advice recording a Rotation/Translation constraint

Hi,

Can anyone give me advice on the best method to record an animation of a Rotation/Translation constraint?

I have seen a few videos on youtube that show how to set-up and drive the mates (I’m ok so far).

But the recording looks too fast and I think the part rotation is not matching the recording

frame rate giving the jerky appearance.

Basically, how can I slow down the rotation and make the turning part look correct?

Is there a ratio of dia x pitch / frame rate (or words to the same effect) etc…

Thanks for the reply’s, I had worked out that I could change the “total # of steps” when driving the distance mate.

Maybe my question should have worded slightly different;

The Rotation/Translation (x.xx mm) and Total # of steps

How / what is the best (suggested) method to match them so the model turns slow enough at the pitch of thread?

Should I state the pitch of thread in the rotation/translation and match an appropriate number of “total # steps” etc…

I can tweek the steps to get something close, so maybe that good enough
