APPLYING COLOUR TO OBJECTS

Having just modeled a steel tank and placed it into an assembly i wish to change the colour of the part,at present it has inherited its properties from the material, i am sure that to change the colour is a simple process, can anyone point me in the right direction.

Regards

Do you want it changed at only the assembly level?

Click the part (in assembly) and select new color.

Hello JD
I am trying to change the part colour in a 3d assy ( ie. iam) or do I need to change it in the. ipt part ?
Its just when you have created an assy drawing its nice to say give individual components a different colour ,a colour
that would match the painting specification, just purely for presentation purposes.
When you say click the part in assy and select new colour do you mean in the browser or the part itself (either way I think
the result is the same)., do you then right click the mouse to open up a new dialogue box?
Regards
