5D PDF

Is anyone else still using 5D pdf writer? I seem to be getting more crashes
when using it since SP2 came out. If I start the print and it brings up the
save dialog, then wait a minute the whole screen goes white. It seems like
if I happen to hit the button for it to finish about the time the screen
changes I crash. Not sure, but I think if I wait a bit it might be ok.
Wondering if it is just me or?? I have seen some other anomalies on my other
machine when I used it also.

I have been using PDF exchange and Jaws PDF. (I think Jaws is the new 5D) I
haven't been having any PDF problems.

i don't use 5D on a regular basis (i use the acrobat writer driver for nt)
but i just used it yesterday. i didn't have any problems. i only use 5D when
i want a colored view pdf file. since the release of inv5.3, the acrobat
writer will not output colored views.

one of the things that i cannot figure out with 5D is how to get the
resolution of my dimension text as nice looking as my acrobat driver. even
if i bump up the resolution to 2450 it's still not as good.

one of these days i'll have to break down and but the adobe distiller...but
not until i get a new workstation.

I have that same problem with JAWS (which used to 5D I think). PDF Exchange
looks very good resolution wise. One of the guys here at work uses
distiller, and it is about the same as JAWS. I am not sure if you can fix
that. Let me know if you find a way. I would also try Distiller to make
sure it is what you want before you buy it.

I use it all of the time. It hangs every now and then but for the most part
I get good output.

I'm still using it with no problems. I haven't tried SP2 yet.

Thanks all. Sounds like it must be something else causing it or something
particular to my setup.

See CF for example Distiller is virtually the same as Jaws.
