2013 - DECAL doesn't function

We have recently upgraded to Inventor 2013 from 2012.

I have created a part.  I then created a working plane and then a sketch on that.  I imported a design from ACAD Mechanical 2012 to the sketch and finish the sketch.  However, when I try to apply it as a decal, Inventor refuses to allow me to pick the sketch as the "image" of the decal, therefore I cannot create the decal on the part.

Any ideas what I may be doing wrong? - Thanks

Decals work for me in 2013, but I am always using an actual image file (PNG, JPG, etc.) within the sketch as the decal - not the sketch itself.

In 10 years of using Inventor I had never attempted to apply sketch geometry as a Decal, only Image placed in sketch.
I just tried in 2012 and couldn't get it to work as you describe.

Can you attach a 2012 file exhibiting this technique?

Thanks.  Using an "image" worked much better.  I guess I was confusing it with embossing using a sketch.  That's what happens when you don't use these features often enough.  Thanks again.

Well, I'm back!  Now, I'm trying to do the same thing, but Inventor refuses to import any image (.png, .bmp, ect.) into a sketch so I can use it as a decal.  I've done it before (somehow), but now it refuses to do it.  The Wikihelp is useless.   What h... can I be doing wrong?

I tried to attach them, but the forum claims the files are too large.

Find the red End of Part marker at the bottom of the feature browser.
Drag the red EOP to the top of the feature history tree hiding all features.

Save the file with the EOP in this rolled up state. (it will be much smaller)

In Windows Explorer right click on the file name and select Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder. (it will be even smaller)

Attach the resulting *.zip file here.

I was able to apply your BMP file as a decal without issues.  What's happening when you use Sketch -> Insert -> Decal?

*SIGH*  Apparently, there's something wrong with ME.  I can now see and use the Insert > Image function that I just wasn't seeing during my previous numerous attempts.  I have no explanation other than I just don't get the opportunity to create decals often enough.  But, thanks for your efforts to help.
