For your 1st question:
Of course! You can use Fusion to create any model you want! Just try it!
If you meet any problems with your creating process, you can ask questions here.
Or directly mail to me: jiangang.zhang@autodesk.com
For your 2nd question:
Any 3D software maybe also could help you to create the aircraft model, but which is best, that is hard to say.
It depends your familiarity with the software. In my opinion, Fusion is good to use, and also easy to use.
And now it also free to use. Just try it!
Thanks your question.
Mike

Planes have lots of parabolic curves in cross section. This is true for the fuselage as well as the wings. I don't see how it's possible to create parabolic shapes without splines. Fusion FT doesn't appear to have a spline tool of any kind. Only straight lines and arcs.
Am I wrong about this?

Yes, Fusion now doesn't have Spline function.
It is considered to add in next build, maybe you can use it in future to create the splines.
Thanks your attention.

Thanks your replyment.
But we're talking about the latest Fusion, not the Fusion 2013.
We know we have Spline in Fusion 2013. But we don't have it in the latest Fusion build now.
