STUDENT VERISION transferring .ipt files from 2012 to 2011

It wont let me acess the .ipt files and open them. I orginally made them in inventor 2012 and want to access them in inventor 2011. Is that possible.

1) This is the wrong forum.  This is for Fusion.

2)  Inventor files are not backward compatible.  Inventor files cannot be opened in a previous version.

 

You might be able to export as step files and import into Inventor 2011.
