My release version is missing support for my spacepilot. Is this intentional?

Maybe it's tied to Inventor? On the system I have Inventor, the spacepilot works fine. The system without Inventor, it doesn't work at all.
OK, after some research, my 3D Connexion driver was messed up. After a re-install (of the driver) it now works fine.
