I am using an older version of Inventor Profesional 9.0. Is there a way to open these older files in Fusion or do they have to be converted to a different format?

You should be able to save as .SAT or .STEP and get them to open in Fusion. Make sure you check your options as they leave Inventor to ensure you are using the "newest/hightest" flavor of SAT and/or STEP available with R 9.0.

If you want to share the files with us, I'd be happy to convert them.
