I cannot understand behavior of "Make Independent".

How to use a "Make Independent" command?

Thank you.

When you create a pattern of components or copy and paste a component you create instances of the source component.

Instances allow multiple parts where a change to one affects all. Should you choose to make a change to one component that YOU DO NOT want to affect others, you can make that component "Independednt."
