Fusion System Requirements for Mac

Hello, I am on a Robotics team, and we have two softwares we are using, one of which does not support OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, and Inventor Fusion on Windows machines. Are there any versions of Inventor Fusion for Mac that support 10.6? These machines would cost too much to maintain if we either used BootCamp ($200 for each, with 13 machines) or updated ($60 for 13 machines, and the MacBooks that the IT admin is completely against updating)

We do have Windows machines, but with only 2 of them, the CAD work is very slow. Not anything to rewrite over, but if there is a version, I would like to know.

Thanks in advance,

Josh.

Have you tried Fusion on your Mac 10.6.8 system?

I also have a similar queery. I can't try it in 10.6.8 as the 'appstore' won't let me download it as I don't have a late enough version of system software. Also, the notes in the app store say if you are using a MacPro you need a MacPro 4.1 or later. Mine is a MacPro 3.1 which has dual 2.8GHz  Quad core Xeon processors which far outstrip the other models of mac used so is this really a requirement?

I'm on the same trouble as the rest, I would like to run Inventor Fusion on my iMac with a 10.6.8 Osx.

But applestore don't let me download as muy Os version is lower than the recomended.

Can i downoad from another place and try if the program runs??? I won't like to change to a later version of Os as everybody told me that the latest versions are less stable than the previous.

So... Is there any solution?

Thanks

.. your download link is redirected to Apples iTunes website from where you can only go to the AppStore.

Same problem here - the download link takes me to a page where all you can do is then goto itunes store.  Any direct URL yet?

That link goes to the App Store through iTunes. We need a link to download Inventor Fusion that doesn't refer to the App Store, which will not allow IF to be downloaded by a 10.6.8 OS X version.

Hello Michael,

The Mac OS X software is only available though the Mac App Store. Are you able to download onto a different machine running 10.7 or greater and transfer over?
