Wikihelp is down

Wikihelp is currently down.  A while back various users asked for a downloadable version of Wikihelp.  Autodesk's response was that wikihelp has a great amount of uptime.  Long story short, we NEED a downloadable version of wikihelp.  Wikihelp is completely down more often than it should be.

Wikihelp is still down. I don't have access here to the offline help, but even if I did, it's apparently set up to only come up when my network connection is down, no mention is made of what happens when Wikihelp itself is down.

I've never been a fan of wikihelp, it's just too slow and awkward, and now that it's completely offline is just icing on the cake.

How about packing all the helps into a downloadable PDF book? That would be amazing!

Thanks,

Dave

We are experiencing some performance issues on the site due to extremely high traffic and content volume and are working on some infrastructure upgrades to handle the situation. We hope to return the site to high performance soon. We appreciate your feedback.

The new online environment that is launching soon should address these issues.

Thank you, and again I am sorry these problems are occurring.

As an alternative, the local help is available for download:
R2014 http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=16463987

R2013 http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=21310054

R2012 http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=18715627

After installing, If you always want to access the local help from within Inventor, you can modify the helpids.xml file located at:
C Program Files Autodesk Inventor 2015 Bin:

Change the default value - UseOnline="1" - to - UseOnline="0"

The value '1' - This will always launch the online help by default

The value '0' - This will always launch the local help by default

Please let us know of any questions,

Jeanie Wayker

Wikihelp is down again. Is something being done to make this more reliable?  This is ridiculous.
