Tool panels will not stay in position on desktop.

In the sketch environment, I can drag tool panels to my desktop for easy access to the tools I need, and as long as I have the current inventor session open the tool panels will remainin position. When I close and reopen an inventor session, the tool panels are back on the ribbon bar. Frustrating as all H**L. I have tried 9 ways to Sunday to get them to stay put, but to no avail (obviousely). Is this simply the way the new inventor works? Also, when I reopen an inventor session it never remembers the last window position for the project. I have a stack of files in many projects and when I open a session I always have to resize the window to see the complete list of files available. The little default window is a pain. Example: When you resize a window on a PC and place it in a certain position on the desktop then close it and reopen it it's right back where you left it at the last size too.
