Show a Icon on a macro Button not works in Inventor 2011

Hello guys,

I'm tried put a cutomized image in my macro button, but I can't.

In the same location of my default DVB file, I put the file .BMP:

ModuleName.FunctionName.Size.BMP

In this case:

Module1.CAD.Large.BMP

or

Module1.CAD.Small.BMP

Please, look the attached file and see with your eyes, if I'm doing something wrong.

Thank you!!!

Can you double check below info:

1. You created the small icon with 16X6 and large icon with 32X32 pixels size? Other sizes may not work for Inventor macros.

2. You have to re-launch Inventor after placing the icons, so Inventor can associate them with macros.

Brian posted an article for this, please refer to:

http://modthemachine.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/11/creating-buttons-for-vba-macros.html

Hope this helps.

I have read all this article in Mod the Machine.Smiley Happy

Step by step again.Smiley Happy

I made new Icons, one of them, Large and other Small.Smiley Happy

Start and Re-start Inventor.Smiley Happy

But the Icon in the Button appears the same every time. Like a Visual Studio Symbol. Smiley Frustrated

I Attached the two Icons for you see.

Any ideias or concerns will be welcome.Smiley Wink

I'm having a similar problem in IV2013. My macro button images USED to work in 2012. Now, when I try to set one of the buttons to the large image, I get an orange colored "@" symbol instead. I tried re-scaling the large icon bitmaps to 32x32 (used to be 24x24?), Rebooting, etc. Does anyone know what this "@" symbol is supposedly telling me?

This is a known issue to us  that large icon for a VBA macro could not be displayed on ribbon, but it is not addressed in Inventor 2014 yet, sorry for that. Please provide 1463005 to us to check the status of the issue, or report this to ADN to ask a hotfix if possible.

Yes the large icon is 32x32 now, you can find the document from(Add a macro to a User defined panel on the ribbon):

http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Inventor/enu/2013/Help/1310-Autodesk1310/1364-Fundamen1364/1365-User_In...

Unfortunately there is a defect for VBA macro large icon and was reported to us, you can provide 1463005 to check its status to us. The small icon still works for VBA macro. The "@" icon is a general icon when the user defined icon could not be loaded.

The defect is not closed because we can't reproduce it in Inventor 2014 SP1, if you have upgraded your Inventor to 2014 SP1 please double check it.

SP1 is out sinds this morning.

In the release notes it you can read the following:

Summary of Issues Fixed by this Service Pack:

  Application Functionality

        • The large icon of Macros command does not display in the Ribbon.

I installed SP1 and I can confirm that the issue is fixed. The bug can thus be closed.

Thanks for the quick reply
