Quantity of each part that are merged by Part Number?

Dear all

Is it possible, if you have a merged BOM.row to get the total quantity of each part?

Thanks, Marco

How are they merged? Same part number?

Hello Jonathan,

Yes, they are merged by Part Number.

You will need to turn off merging part numbers (un-check the Enable Row Merge on Part Number Match). As once it's merged like that it counts them together.

I am not aware of any simple way to capture an unmerged BOM, merge it back, and override the values - that also doesn't sound like a good idea.

I thought so, that it will be difficult.

So I think the best way to do this is look if the Row is merged by “Part Number” and if so then walks through the Row.ComponentDefinitions and counts for each ComponentDefinitions the parts.
