What i would like to do is add a selection dropdown for the active material library to my addin in VB, so we can switch between our own library and the standard ones.
I'd like to know if it's possible to access this part of the API in some way.
The programming help stated that:
To support the transfer of visually correct models from one Autodesk product to another, Inventor is now solely using the new Autodesk common materials and colors.
The API was not updated this release to fully reflect this change.
However the existing API has been rewired to provide access to this new material information.
Because there isn't always a one-to-one mapping between the previous materials and colors and the new materials and colors, you can potentially see some changes in behavior in this area.
Which makes me believe it's not available yet.
Can someone confirm this or else give advice on how to do what i'd like?
