Can't connect to an Inventor Addin from an external application

I initially posted this in the Vault Customization forums by mistake.

I have tried everything I can think of but just cannot get this to work.

Has anyone else encountered problems with connecting to their Inventor Addins since moving to registry-free or Inventor 2014?

Try using a "dynamic" type for the automation interface. This works fine on my side.

Philippe.

Hi Philippe,

Thanks for your response.

Are you suggesting that I just add the "dynamic" keyword like below?

I tried this but get the same error. I'm wondering if maybe I have a problem with that test system.

Maybe I need to try building it on another machine.

Oops, didn't spot that I cast the AutomationInterface wrong there.

I'll try again

Thanks Philippe, that works! I realised I needed the dynamic keyword in the declaration and it appears to be working!

Well at least I'm onto the next bug anyway..... Smiley Frustrated
