unable to open Maya 2012 of student version

I have installed the application successfully after 100% downloded, but when I open the Maya software it gives me Application Error box and says that " The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) ". so kindly please help me to solve this problem.

   Can you please provide more information on the system you are running on? What operating system, graphics card, if Windows have you updated the graphics driver recently?

I am using windows 7 home basic 64bit operating system with intel core i5 processor, 4GB Ram, 500 GB hard disk and 1GB graphic card of ATI mobilty radeon HD 550v..

serial number, lisence all works fine but why autodesk maya is unable to open and gives error please solve me this question. looking for solvable answer.

currently I have ATi Radeon graphic drive it came along with dell laptop.... Is there any problem bcoz of this or do i need nividia graphic card cumpulsory to use Maya...

Laptop graphics cards can be an issue. You should look up the qualified cards via the link below to see if it your card is on the list. If it's not it could be part of the issue. Generally if you haven't yet I would update the graphics drivers to the latest version to see if it helps. You should visit the laptop drivers page to see if there's any new drivers.

please recommend me on which graphic drive should i use for support maya 2012 and as well as for 2011, becouse i have tried with your provided link but i could'nt find it .. so please suggest requiered graphic card to my system..

We can only recommend the cards that are on the qualified list The list should provide all the details you need qualified cards. If you haven't already please try updating the graphics card drivers first. You know never know if that's all you need
