I just received a new laptop at work. I am currently working on a desktop and need to know how I can transfer my CAD license to the new laptop.

This is not necessary. The EULA actually allows you to have an additional activation of the software on your laptop. Simply install and activate. If the activation does not work, you can call Autodesk activations at 1-800-551-1490.
