stand alone license

I'm trying to find an easy method for managing a couple handfuls of stand alone serial numbers. Is there any way a stand alone install can have it's serial number changed? For example, I have ACAD installed via serial # 1 and I would like to change the serial number to serial # 2 and re-authorize it. Is this possible via some txt-based file (ini, cfg, xml, etc.)? My issues is that I have 15 different stand alone serial #s, but I want to be able to create a single network-based install.

If I can't change the serial # after installation, is there a way to keep from needing to supply a serial # when creating the network-based install? This might allow me to enter in the desired serial # during install.

I know the easy answer is to upgrade my licenses to a network managed environment, but I'm trying to save a few $s.

Thanks,

Chris

Call Autodesk or your reseller and have them merge all your single SN's into
a master stand-alone SN. There shouldn't be a charge for that.

Funny ... I already requested that, but they tried to sell me network licensing. After my initial post I reviewed more groups on this board and found a reference to the license you're referring to. I've since requested them to look into this.

Thanks!

Of course! They charge a hefty fee for that!
