ring buffer overflow causing crash

I'm using autocad14, autocad map 2 and oracle 8 on an NT work station with
an NT server. I have all the latest service packs installed. I have 128m
ram on a PII 400m. I'm crashing out of autocad. when I check the event
viewer I find the following message:

l8042prt message that state that the ring buffer that stores incoming mouse
data has overflowed(buffer is configurable via the registry).

I've tried resetting the virtual memory from 139 to 400. (I only have 431
available). and I've also reset virtual memory on the server.

can anyone tell me what the ring buffer is and how to edit it through the
registry, or direct me to a newsgroup that could help?
Thanks for your time.

Judy,

Start up Regedit, and go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Busmous\Parameters

and change the value of MouseDataQueSize from 100 (decimal)
to 200 or 400 (decimal)
