I had the English version of Revit 2012 and now I uninstalledi it in order to reinstall the Italian one as I was told by Autodesk.
Now I can't do it because, before the beginning of the installation process, the "microsoft visual c++ redistributable x86 9.0.30729.4148" external disk is requested.
I have it already installed but I can't fix the problem.
I have Win Vista Home premium,
Thanx!
Manuela
Hi Archimeg3
It sounds like the installation has become corrupt. Have you tried to remove the C++ installation and try to re-install from the Microsoft site?

Thank you Dwayne, I have just tried to uninstall it (I had so many versions of C++ installed, I had to clean a lot ;-)) ant to reinstall it from the link you sent but no way...
It still says that an external source (DVD, usb...) is needed to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable (x86).
Maybe I reinstalled a wrong version?
Ciao,
Manuela
Try this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=29
Just tried, no way again.
It says that file vc_red.msi must have been moved in a different folder.
Maybe I have to download http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=6922 ?
Nope, that doesn't look right. You need Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable x86.
Have you managed to clean the VC++ installations ?
if not please use the clean up tool from MS

Have you managed to fix this issue ?
