1. Uninstall AutoCAD 2000i using Add/Remove Programs from Windows Control
Panel.
2. Delete all files in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared
directory.

Note: The Autodesk Shared file directory is always be placed
on the C:\
drive regardless of where AutoCAD 2000 is installed.
3. Reboot
the workstation.
4. Install AutoCAD 2000i.

AutoCad is installed via a network using a network licence. I have installed the autocad software on new Pc which hadn't autocad installed on it previously and the problem still occurs. i have a feeling that the error is occuring from the main server running the autocad licences.
