Hmmm, are you running w2k on the workstation?? If so, then there is a problem with your
workstation not being able to find a running adlm server. (It would be nice if the find
server thing would actually report this. Adesk network support knows that it doesn't
report properly, but I don't think that they could get globetrotter to fix it before ship
date.) The workstation is for some reason not able to get a license from the adlm server.
Double check the server installation and make sure that it is reporting that it has
licenses available. If it does then it is likely a name resolutions / routing problem.
There is a file, in the same folder as the acad.exe called licepath.lic. Open this file
with your favorite text editor and here is something like what it should say
SERVER MYSERVER 116115b1d23a
USE_SERVER
Where MYSERVER is the name of your adlm server and the 116115b1d23a is the ethernet
address of your server. The ETHERNET address, not the IP address (I've seen quite a few
people get those confused). The SERVER and USE_SERVER portions are static and should not
change.
Let us know what you find.

for the either the server name or license file, I indicate the the server and server name.
It then returns a messeges that the FlexLM is complete and to close the window to start
the application. I do that and it just gives me a blank window!
