I agree with travis.
hostname and mac adress are used in the checksum.
But, you can have a new pc with the mac adress and the hostname cloned.

I haven't tried this recently, but I don't think that the hostname is
used as part of the checksum. This means that in a pinch you can
(could?) just move the NIC or clone the MAC to another server. Of
course, you'd want to destroy the original NIC if you did this... a bit
difficult with integrated NICs 🙂
