I have a Network installs of ADT R2 and ACAD 2000 both have 2 lics. totaling
4 lics. I can only open any combination of 2 if I try to open anymore than 2
I get an error telling me no lics. avail.
I presume you have two150 feature codes and two151. ADT 2 requires that you
have both a code for ADT and AutoCAD, hence running one client of ADT2 will
take a 150 and a 151 license. You can therefore only run 2 copies at a time.
If however you purchased two copies of AutoCAD in addition to two copies of
ADT2 you should have received authorisation to obtain four 150 feature codes
and two 151.

I'm aware that you can transfer the license from one machine to another with the license utility.
I've being told that the utility will alow you 24hrs.
of operating if you forget to transfer the license.
How is the 24hrs. calculated?
Is it 24hrs editing time or 24hrs from last opened?
There is no utility for the Network version of AutoCAD, so there is
nothing to transfer. Are you talking about a softlock version of
AutoCAD 2000 or 2000i?

It is 24 hours from the moment you start the
product while the license is exported to another system. Once you use the
feature, you have to wait three days before it will allow this grace
license.

We have AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 2004 running on a network. We have
the FLEXLM License manager to manage our licenses. We have a 4 user license
sometimes a particular user will have control of 2 licenses. When you go to that
users machine they only have one instance of AutoCAD Arch. open. What causes a
license to stay open and how can I get rid of that open license with out
affecting other users?
okay I found out about the option file that I can
create. I created one with the timeout of 900 I stopped and
restarted the FLexLM service. Now being that this file is in the same path
as the license file the license manager will automatically see the adskflex.opt
file? I'm curious on how the license manager knows the adskflex.opt is
there also.
