I just got a new laptop with windows 7. I installed the Inventor software from the disk, and installed all of the service packs, vault collaboration 2011, and add in's for vault 2011. Inventor crashes when I open any .ipt file. But is OK when I open .iam assemblies. I have sent the log file in, let me know what to try.

Hello Brett:
This type of crash is generally associated with an issue with either your Display Adapter driver or that your Display adapter is not certified for use with Autodesk Products. You can find out whether or not your adapter is certified at this link:
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/cert?siteID=1
If your adapter is on this list, you can try to find the latest drivers for it. If your adapter is not on this list, you may continue to see this behavior simply due to non-compatability.
Best of luck to you.
