installation failures with Building Design Suite Ultimate 2013 - 1603 & 1619

I’m getting errors 1619 and 1603 when trying to install some files from the Building Design Suite Ultimate 2013. I’m installing this from an Autodesk stick drive on a local machine.

Many of the programs have installed, and some have not – Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2013, AutoCAD Architecture 2013, AutoCAD MEP 2013, AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2013, Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler 2013 have not installed.

The other software in the package has installed and is running – ACAD, Revit, 3ds Max, Inventor, etc.

Here is the log from just the ACAD Arch install;

I could be missing it, but I’m not seeing anything related to C++. I see there is a Direct X Runtime failure.

Any suggestions – greatly appreciated in advance! mpp

Thanks for the reply and link, Emily.

I reviewed that solution, but I don't think that was my problem as I hadn't yet installed service pack 1.1

I ended up resintalling the OS and all software. I did the Buildign Design Suite files before I installed anything else, and it all installed and is working fine.

Thanks again. mpp

I am experiencing total frustration with installing BDSU 2013 on Win 7 64 bit. Install media is Autodesk USB drive, stand alone install.

I have tried several suggested methods many times including disconnecting the internet connection, disabling ant-virus.

Copying the contents of USB to the hardrive failed as well, citing file errors.

On a positive note, I attempted an install on a similar machine with the USB drive and I was able to get past the Revit install at least with success. I did not persue the full install however due to time constraints.

Please help, I'm lost with what to do next. I have attached the most recent install log.

thank you

I too previously installed several programs. Now I'm trying to add others and they won't install. I've followed advice of others to no avail. Modified the setup.ini file to delete the prerequisite request for framework. Removed sp1.1 except for map3d and civil 3d. They would have to be completely uninstalled. Here is the log file for AutoCAD Architecture 2013: (Windows 8, 64-bit)

Temporary Workaround:

If you look at the log file, AutoCad Architecture is trying to load in Autodesk\AutoCad 2013 where AutoCad (plain) was already installed. By renaming the AutoCad 2013 folder to AutoCad 2013 Plain, ACA loaded and works, the problem is you have to rename the folders temporally to either run the plain version or ACA version.

Obviously, this isn't how you want things to work. You could uninstall one of the versions then install the one you want.

The best solution would be to install each application in a folder of your choosing, however; the installer location is greyed out.

At this point, if someone could at least come up with a way to move folders or rename folders so each program can install and function properly seems like the simplest solution for now.
