importing CAD to new computer

I have exported my autocad and have nothing on my new computer that would suggest that there is a link or file to download it. The instructions they give jump from exporting to "here it is" on your new computer just import it

This is why I cannot stand the transfer system, among other things.  Even when you can figure it out, it usually fails 11 times out of 10.
