how to obtain server codes for just some seats of total?

I went to pull server codes using the web page, and the dumb thing gave me codes for all my seats.

I only need codes for 2 seats.

Can I do this online, or do I have to email adesk?

you must not be familiar with flexlm license servers.

The typical process for network autodesk products is buy the product,

    install flexlm on a server,

obtain codes and put in a license.lic file,

point the flexlm server to that file, using the "services" option for us at least.

So when you have two offices, and want to redistribute seats available on each server, you pull new codes.

You must not exceed your total pool, or you are a pirate,

So this thing where it pulls codes for all seats without asking is lame, makes it look like I am overusing network seats.

Darren is an expert at FlexLM, he just wanted the clarification that you provided.

You need to contact Autodesk and have them created a Distributed server for you.  You should have been able to create your own at http://register.autodesk.com.  I know I can.  It will allow you to split seats.

If you cannot or wish to have it done, let Autodesk Activations do this.

Please call Autodesk Product Registration and Authorization or your Reseller:

That link is where I went and did not see the option for seat count. Seems like I have seen it before though.

I know I can go through adesk or reseller, just wanted to know the online way.

this creates a case no thats emailed to you

when you call the activations number or use the chat window on that link you give them the case no with all the info in it
