gdipldef.cpp & HP 5000

I've searched everywhere for a reference to this file, and have come up
blank. I'm having a problem plotting to a HP LaserJet 5000 from AutoCAD
2002 (Win2k machine). Here's the scenario. Upon install (thin client),
things on my workstation were working just fine for months. Then I
installed LD3 on our server. Before running the LD3 install on my
workstation, I tried to plot from ACAD, and the whole program crashed out
with repeated and rapid "Severe Error" "Internal Error" message boxes.
After an uninstall, cleaning of the registry, and reinstall of ACAD on the
workstation, I've reduced the severity of the errors. Now when I plot, I
first get a message saying "Printer name is invalid", but once I OK through
that box, things print just fine. Problem is, my pc3 files don't work for
that printer. Upon exiting ACAD, the file hardcopy.log is appended with the
following line:

AutoCAD Error: gdipldef.cpp
Printer name is invalid. Failed to open printer $Workfile: gdipldef.cpp $
$Revision: 54 $

I don't think LD3 has anything to do with it, because all the other
workstations in the office continue to operate properly, but that's the only
thing that changed before/after, so I had to include that comment just in
case. Also, sending to our HP 1050 plotter works fine, so it seems to be
printer specific. Any thoughts before I reformat this machine?
