The technical solution provides details on the Error 1324:

This error is also documented in the Microsift site below:

We have noticed the same issue after a network install of AutoCad 2011 on Windows 7 x86.  Installation proceeds normally but when the user tries to open AutoCad the first time they receive the 1324 errors.  Our environment has all normal user folders (Documents, Pictures, Music, etc.) redirected to network storage.  The folder redirection is normally put in place by Group Policy

Evidently AutoCad does not support redirected folders that have a UNC path, which is a common occurance in businesses.  What we have done as a workaround is to run a reg file (attached here as a text file) that will restore all the logged in user's shell folder paths back to the Windows default.  After the registry file is successfully imported have the user start AutoCad and wait for it to fully initialize.

After AutoCad runs properly open a command prompt and type gpedit/force  This forces the user's profile to regain any Policy Objects put in by domain policy.  The user will need to log off and back on again but AutoCad should continue to run.

If you do not use Group Policy for these items and have it set under the local machine you should export these settings prior to running the registry file or you will need to manually recreate them.--my comments are specific to organizations using Group Policy Objects within a Windows domain structure.

Note that the above process needs to be performed for any user of a particular computer; it is not a global setting.  So far we have found this successful on several machines that previously we could not get AutoCad to initialize.

Stephen's advice worked like a charm for me. Thanks so much for posting the reg file.
