don't know if I have a license manager!!

OK....I am lost.

Have been running ACAD off of our server for over 1 year now.....have a
deployment location...run the setup.exe....have ACAD on 2 machines...all is
good.

I cannot find a flexlm or .lic file anywhere......trying to add CAD overlay
auth codes..but can't find a file to add the code to.....

using ACAD 2002, local machines are XP Pro....server is NT...

UPDATE: Find LICPATH.LIC on the client. Open with notepad. This will tell
you the server it is running from.

SERVER DRAFTING1 00b0d023b244
USE_SERVER

as a sidenote....I have another file in the same directory called AutoCAD
2002 Adlm.err

The computer named DRAFTING1 is where FlexLM is installed.

You run Setup.exe.

That's an exe that setup.exe runs during the install. I'm sure setup.exe is
doing stuff before (or after) executing it.

Hi Kevin,

That is exactly right. One is a wrapper doing some additional work, like
making sure you have msiexec.exe and a few other setup things we need to do.

Hope this helps.

Bud

Hi Bud,

Nice to hear from you, it's been awhile. Good to see confirmation on this
from the source 😉

Thanks,
Kevin
