cdilla and portable lisence nightmare~!

Dear Sirs,

I am a technician that formatted a computer that had AutoDesk Architectural
Desktop 3 installed and then I installed windows XP instead of windows 98.
This computer is part of a small network with 4 computers. Eatch one had
arch desktop installed and the lisence was transfered from one to the other.
This license is a portable license that we transferred from one pc to
another using a diskette.
So before I formatted the computer I transferred the license to another
computer. ( I did this since It was logical to not loose the lisence)
After I formatted the PC and installed XP & Arch. Desktop, (and installed
the cdilla update from the proper site) I tried to transfer the license from
the other machine back to the XP machine.
HOWEVER, it would not let me! It said that it had an error 4 and need
additional authorization. From the license manager I saw that it said
something about a STATUS BROKEN.
No machine could have run Desktop. SO I sent for an additiona authorization
code, and the formated machine finally ran Arch. Desktop
Now, I unistalled and reinstalled arch desktop on one other machine ( I also
uninstalled and deleted the cdilla), then I tried to transfer the
authorization code to that machine.
BUT THE SAME THING HAPPENED! It would not take the lisence from the working
machine. Again the lisence was exported and so I needed a NEW one!
Again I asked for a new authorization.

They sent me one. Now the situation is this:

One machine is working (the XP machine that I have formated) The others have
Arch Desktop installed but I cannot import becuase they will keep destroying
the auth codes!
What do I have to do? Dont tell me to format all the computers just for
this! lol

Autodesk support in my country says that only autodesk base can help me,
Autodesk base does not reply to my email.... argggg

Any help would be great!

thanks in advance

Kenny,

If you are rebuilding machines i.e. reinstalling the O.S from the ground up
you need to follow the following solution. If you do not then you will
receive errors. Fundamentally the \C_DILLA folder must be backed up and
restored as well as the license being exported. You must not run the product
once the backup has taken place.

Can you confirm what country you are in and where you first tried to get
support from.

Thanks,
