cant' install 3dsmax 2014

good morning, i've a big problem installing 3dsmax 2014, setup stops almost at the beginning, right after directx runtime installation.

i've downloaded 3dsmax with your download manage, so i think there aren't corrupted files...

log says this

i've tried disabling UAC

i've tried to manual install directx runtime

i've tried to install with the 3dsmax MSI file, wich says "i can't find 3dsmax.msi file" or cannot access it (the same i started setup with)

license is valid i think, is the education license i subscribed for

the setup folder is in a different partition than destination folder, can this be a problem?

Hello and welcome to the forum,

It appears the material library is failing to install

" Andrea BESTIOLINA Install Autodesk® Material Library 2014 Failed Installation aborted, Result=2"

As a test can you try running the Material library installer manually and let us know what errors you see if they come up

In your case you can find the installer in D:\Autodesk\Autodesk_3ds_Max_2014_EFGJKS_Win_64bit_dlm\content\ADSKMaterials\2014\CM

Run the MSI file called Materiallibrary2014.msi and go through the prompts to install. If that works try the whole product install again.

So something is blocking the install MSI, could be an ativirus so I would disable that first. If you still get the error I would try copying the folder down to you hard C:\ drive and see if perhaps something is blocking install MSI's from running off your D:\ drive

thanks, that did the trick... didn't know that position of downloaded folder could change anything
