autocad 2012 Update 2.1 and vista business installation

Hello,

We provide it services for small to medium businesses. We have a customer where autocad 2012 civil 3D is installed on a vista business 32b computer. Since they have a lot of crashes we want to install the update 2.1 for this autocad installation.

In the readme file of update 2.1 vista business is not mentioned as supported OS, But XP is

It is very confusing that XP is supported and vista business is not supported. Is this a typo, or is it really not supported?

thanks in advance,

Tom

Windows Vista is no longer a supported OS for Autodesk products starting with the 2013 release and all subsequent service packs afterwards.  This is not a misprint or an oversight.  This is by design.  Vista makes up approximately 6% of the marketshare and has been plagued with problems since the beginning.  There is no reason to use Vista when an upgrade to Windows 7 is quick, easy, and affordable and will actually run faster and better than Vista on the same machine.

In your answer you speak of autocad 2013 and onwards...Do you mean that also the vista updates for autocad 2012 civil 3D are not supported anymore?

thanks again,

Tom
