adlmreg failing attempting to register educational license on linux

Hi,

I'm attempting to register my educational license manually on linux, but I'm getting back a mysterious "Registration failed with code: 24" message. Does any one know what code 24 is? Are these codes documented anywhere?

This is the command I'm entering:

adlmreg -i S 657F1 657F1 2014.0.0.F XXX-XXXXXXXX /var/opt/Autodesk/Adlm/Maya2014/MayaConfig.pit

(where XXX-XXXXXXXX is my serial number as received from Autodesk)

As far as I can tell everything is in place, I'm just not sure what code 24 is. Is something wrong with the serial code?

thanks

Welcome to the Autodesk Community, Ben!

You are likely getting that error because our free licenses from the Education Community are not Linux supported. These licenses are standalone only.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you need any additional help!

Thanks!

OK - thanks for the reply.

Seems a bit silly for there to be no Linux support. Would be good to add that to the trial and educational programs at some point.

cheers
