Does anybody have experience and/or benchmarks comparing Windows 98 vs
Windows 2000 for running AutoCAD. Any opinions or thoughts would be greatly
    appreciated.

No benchmarks in speed, but Win 2000 (also known as NT 5.0) is much more
stable. I have heard some people having problems with AutoCAD 2000 and Win
2000, but I have also heard other people raving about it. You may want to
check out the autocad.2000general NG. You will likely find more people that
    have tried this.

    Tom,

I'm running Acad 2000 on a machine that multi-boots into Win95, NT Server
    4.0, and Windows 2000 Professional. It's a P133 w/96 MB RAM (go ahead,
laugh, ha!). I can't see any difference in performance across any of them
    EXCEPT:

When something hangs, I can kill and recover much easier in NT and 2000 than
    in Win95/98.
