When the Autodesk products will go into an IDLE

Hi,

Anybody knows the logic of implementing idle time in any of the autodesk products?
Actually we tried with TIMEOUT and TIMEOUTALL in all products, but except the 3D MAX 2010,
its was working with TIMEOUT 900 secs.
But as there is idle event of Application Services in AutoCAD product. we are searching to implement
same concept in rest of the other products(Revit,3D MAX,Inventor,Navis work Manager 2010)

how to sense idleness in te Revit ,3d max and Inventor product.

If anyonce knows any logic about this post, please share...

Thanks.

The TIMEOUT doesn't necessarily work for all products. I do not have a current list of which ones are supported and which ones aren't. However, you can verify the timeout because it will have an (INACTIVE) located next to the license in the debug log for that user. Idle time generally will consist of no application activity for the time in the options file. However, it has been said that if AutoCAD is in an active command waiting for user input, then it will not technically be considered idle. Therefore, TIMEOUT and idle are very vague definitions.

Not sure about if these products really support TIMEOUT but you can find out more about the logic here:
