I'll give the short and sweet version.
We had a network license server for multiple products, autodesk, ansys, solidworks, and maple.
When I tried to install the license file for the autodesk 2010 that I obtained via email from autodesk I could not get my new 2010 install to license. I updated the network license server as indicated by autodesk instructions, instructions were followed to the T. I then added in the appropriate envrioment variables on my client system. Reread the new network license on the server. Everything looked normal.
When trying to open autocad on my client I get error 0.0.0
I checked the time on the client and server they appear to be ok, checked for a corupt cascadeinfo.cas as indicated in other posts I found. tested numerous configurations of the enviroment variable ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE, set it to @myserver and also @myserverip, no dice still says error 0.0.0
Logs on the LMTools utility yeild next to nothing, says everything is ok.
Since the server was a bit on the aging side we decided to upgrade since we were having so much trouble with the new autodesk license. Installed windows xp pro on a new server box, installed all updates and what not, then installed autodesk tools for network license managment and setup with A NEW LICENSE FILE I obtained from Autodesk for the new license server. At this point autodesk is the only software being served out. Set new box up as the same server name so my current client install would see it, applied NEW autodesk network license file. Tested on client machine...error 0.0.0. Checked time...its ok. My client box does have the ablility to talk to the new license server as proven by a telnet test to it. I have no clue why this new license server, with only the autodesk network licensing installed is giving me these errors.
WTF?!!?!?!?!
I have no idea where to go from here. Can anyone help?
